dr. werber portrait website aI grew up in New York, and went on to my Bachelors of Science degree at Syracuse University. After completing my undergraduate degree, I started working in Manhatten repairing main frame computers for the Port Authority of New York, and pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, It was at this point that I became interested in pursuing a medical degree. I was accepted to the California College of Podiatric Medicine accelerated program. When I completed my Doctorate I went on to my residency in Los Angeles. From Los Angeles, I returned to the east coast and opened practice in Rhode Island. I practiced and raised my 2 wonderful daughters for the next 25 years in Rhode Island. During this time I became Board Certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons, The American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics, and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.

While in Rhode Island, I was very active in the community, as a member of the Masons, Community groups, hospital committees and my professional societies. I served as President and Board member of the Rhode Island Podiatric Medical Association, and the New England division of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. These activities led me to become nationally active with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons sitting on the Board of Directors and in 2003-04 I was the president of this prestigious organization.

I have done surgical fellowships in 2003 Athens Institute for Orthopedics in Athens Greece, 2002 at the Ilizarovov Institute in Kurgan Russia, and in 1989 Hadassah Hospital Jerusalem Israel.
